Innova Cusco 2026 Award for Jorge Huillca Vargas
ASPEM honoured the president of the Espinar Tourism Chamber and general manager of Central Travel Agency for his leadership and innovation in the sector.
The Peruvian Association of Entrepreneurs (ASPEM) granted the Innova Cusco 2026 Award to Jorge Huillca Vargas, president of the Espinar Tourism Chamber and general manager of Central Travel Agency S.C.R.L.
The award recognises his leadership, his capacity for innovation and his commitment to developing tourism in a province that until recently was only a waypoint on the road to Colca or Cusco.
From waypoint to destination
Espinar now has reasons of its own to make travellers stop: T’aqrachullo, the Three Canyons of Suyckutambo, the colonial temples of Coporaque and a K’ana culture still alive in its festivals.
Turning that potential into visitors, jobs and income depends on someone organising it. This award recognises exactly that work.
